Welcome to St. Mary's Academy CBS
I am delighted to invite you, through this website, to enter the world of St. Mary’s Academy CBS; a voluntary boy’s secondary school under the trusteeship of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust (ERST). Our ethos is rooted in respect, inclusivity and belonging where each individual is encouraged to have high expectations of themselves, setting no limits to what they can achieve in life.
We are very proud of our students and want to thank you for taking the time to browse an array of their achievements and endeavours. From the academic to the social, sporting to musical, from individual to team pursuits - we hope you will experience a real sense of our school spirit, our commitment to one another and the welcoming atmosphere. In our school, life-long friendships are made, strong bonds are formed, and the exciting world of knowledge and success is open to all.
Our curriculum is broad and varied, awakening the curiosity of our students who thrive in such a welcoming and happy environment. The pursuit of excellence in teaching and learning is paramount and our students are successful because they are members of a school community where each individual is valued and supported. In this, we are privileged to have a team of dedicated teachers, SNA’s and ancillary staff whose primary focus is to help our students achieve their full potential. Together, we commit to the objective that each student will have the opportunity not just to discern their talents but to use these talents and develop them to their optimum.
As Principal, I am honoured and privileged to have been entrusted with the role of leading this great school. Working alongside the Deputy Principal, Mr. Seán Kealy and a committed staff, we will continually strive to build on the wonderful reputation and many achievements of this school, past and present.
I hope you enjoy your visit to our website and please feel free to contact the school with any further questions you may have. You can also follow us on twitter@cbscarlow , on Instagram @cbscarlow and on Facebook @cbscarlowfb.
