Carlow Lion's Club held their annual Youth Ambassador Awards in the Seven Oaks Hotel on Friday October 27th. Our congratulations to transition year studen,t John Heffernan, who came third overall in the Competition. An active member of Peace & Justice, John has shown tremenduous leadership skills as Chairman of the Advocacy Group. He works tirelessly in promoting events and opportunities for students to become involved in civic volunteerism within Peace & Justice. Other P&J students representing the school included previous chairmen Eoin McGloin & Ryan Sheeran from Sixth Year. Other student Leader nominees included Mark Walshe (5th Year), Stephen Dwyer (TY), Luke McCann & Matthew Keogh (3rd Yr). Mr. Jack Morley of Carlow Lion's Club presented certificates of recognition to all applicants today in school, where he took the opportunity to thank P&J students for their ongoing support of Carlow Lion's. Peace & Justice members are looking forward to helping Carlow Lion's with the Christmas Hamper Appeal once again throughout December. Congratulations to all involved
