On Tuesday our Senior football team played Scoil Dara Kilcock in the second round of the Leinster Schools championship in Enfield. Sadly we were beaten by 4-10 to 0-10. We were in truth hampered by the loss of 4 key players due to sickness and injury. 21 players were used in the match altogether. On a heavy pitch we found the speed of Kilcock hard to deal with early on and they got a few quick goals which settled them early on in the game. Our lads fought back tenaciously and got some great scores from play and from frees. The second half saw our team again fight hard but on the day had to bow to a superior Scoil Dara side. As runners up in our group following our win over Rathangan 2 weeks ago we are still in the championship and will be playing after Christmas! Many thanks to our loyal supporters who travelled the long journey to support the team! Great to have such a strong presence there at the game.
